Steve brings 18 years of Royal Navy service and more than 40 years of building and running businesses to Casover. His veteran background created the first connection with Billy MacLeod MBE and the shared understanding on which their publishing work developed.
Since 2012, Casover’s earlier imprint has operated as a small independent publisher, selecting manuscripts and bringing books to market under its own name. Practical sales and distribution were concentrated on Amazon KDP and its own website rather than a broad trade network. Across that period Steve worked directly on manuscript preparation, cover design, formatting, metadata, distribution and author support, and built the working method Casover now offers to other authors.
That record demonstrates practical publishing delivery. It is not a claim that every title achieved commercial success. Casover develops the experience into a more complete, accountable service: one plan, clear gates and assets owned by the author.
The military connection is part of Casover’s story, not a restriction on whom it serves. The same standards of trust, clarity and responsibility apply to every serious author project.
